Looping and Speed Control

Loop a section and change tempo to practice, study, or build a remix.

Looping and speed control let you focus on one part of a song and shape its feel. On the Stem Player, both live behind the power button, which cycles through menus: one tap opens the loop menu, a second tap opens the speed menu, and a third returns to normal play.

Looping (Stem Player)

  1. 1

    Open the loop menu

Tap the power button once. The stem pads now control looping instead of the mix.

  2. 2

    Set the loop length

Hold a stem pad to set how much repeats — each pad maps to a length in bars. Hold two pads at once to add their lengths together.

  3. 3

    Move the loop

Use the track buttons to nudge the looped section forward or back through the song.

  4. 4

    Exit

Tap the power button again to move on, or tap the center LED to return to normal play.

Speed (Stem Player)

  1. 1

    Open the speed menu

Tap the power button twice (loop menu first, then speed).

  2. 2

    Ramp up or slow down

Tap a stem pad to nudge the tempo; hard-press for bigger steps. Speed ranges from half-speed up to 2×.
