Playback Modes Explained
Classic, Mix, DJ, and Infinite — how each mode changes the way your session plays.

StemFM plays your session in one of four modes. They all keep full stem control — the difference is how long each track plays and how it transitions to the next.
The four modes
- Classic — original songs with seamless transitions. Closest to listening to the tracks as recorded.
- Mix — full mixes with smooth transitions between them.
- DJ — variable-length segments chosen for the most optimal transitions.
- Infinite — short segments with fast transitions, for a continuous, ever-moving flow.
Switching modes
Change modes from the player, or just ask the AI DJ — “switch to mix”, “switch to DJ”, “switch to infinite”, or “switch to classic”.
