Troubleshooting Bluetooth Connection
Fix the most common pairing and audio problems with Stem 2.

Most connection issues with Stem 2 come down to pairing state, battery, or interference. Work through these steps in order. (Stem 1 connects over USB, not Bluetooth — see “How to Connect Stem 1”.)
Stem 2 will not appear
- Make sure Stem 2 is charged and powered on (hold power ~3 seconds).
- Confirm it is not already connected to another phone or computer.
- On first power-on the center LED pulses for pairing — open your device’s Bluetooth menu and tap Stem2.
- Turn Bluetooth off and back on on your device.
Audio cuts out or stutters
- Move Stem 2 closer to your device to reduce interference.
- Step away from crowded Wi-Fi and other Bluetooth devices.
- Charge the speaker — low battery can weaken the connection.
Stems will not split
Splitting runs on a live Bluetooth stream and needs Wi-Fi plus a linked StemFM account. Make sure audio is actively playing, then hold the STEM button (the small circular button by the track buttons). If the animation turns red, the split failed — check your Wi-Fi and account link and try another track.
